BISHKEK, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev on Monday discussed the Middle East situation over phone with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, deputy prime minister and foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Kulubaev emphasized the importance of maintaining stability and security in the region, according to a statement published on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
The parties expressed hope for an early de-escalation of tensions in the region, the resumption of diplomatic dialogue, and the adoption of concrete constructive steps aimed at strengthening peace and stability, said the statement. ■
