BEIJING, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Dongguan guard Yang Liwei headlines the starters announced Tuesday for the 2025-26 Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) All-Star Game.

Yang, a former captain of China's national team, has combined playing and assistant coaching duties this season, averaging 8.8 points and 3.8 assists in 13 appearances. She received a leading 224,706 fan votes.

She is joined in Team South by teammates Yang Shuyu, Huang Sijing and Chen Mingling, while Sichuan veteran forward Gao Song completes the starting lineup.

Xinjiang guard Wu Tongtong leads Team North with 134,529 votes. The rest of the lineup features Shijiazhuang guard Wang Lili, Jiangsu forward Luo Xinyu and Shanxi pair Zhai Ruoyun and Zhang Ru.

The 2025-26 WCBA All-Star Weekend will be held in Xi'an, in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, from March 21 to 22. In addition to the All-Star game, other events include the Rising Star Game, 3-point contest and skills challenge. ■
